most legal events in Suffolk happen in Studio 3 in Bury St Edmunds. Many of these are posted on our events section. There are also a fair few licensed events in Norwich and Yarmouth.
Unfortunately the party scene (both legal and unlicensed) has been heavily clamped down on in Suffolk and Essex as a backlash from the 1990s because the “older” generation (my generation!) overdid things and left the area with a legacy of drug addiction and crime, which the rest of society ended up having to sort out.
That said, free parties do happen still in Norfolk.
On here although its a friendly place its best to chat a bit more about yourself and what sort of music/parties you are in to, as you will need to gain peoples confidence before they will give out info on free parties as there have been attempts by cops and journalists to use forums like this to glean info. I only moved to Suffolk in 2006, and this place helped me make a lot of new friends from the party scene but I had been on here regularly since 2002 which helped a bit with gaining peoples trust…
Also if you do want to attend a free event either yourself or whover is driving should be prepared for a lot of miles covered late at night on rural roads, and be able to drive safely in these sorts of areas…
