some cowboy builders tryed it on with us then tryed to rob my yard, i shot one in the side with an air gun then had it out with em. they fucked off saying sorry.

If they’re taking the piss with the price and they are cowboys they’re going to be too worried about getting rumbled by trading standards to do anything stupid like threaten you. If you were going round the county doing dodgy jobs for people you’d want to keep a low profile, and certainly not hang around a job harassing the customers. However its more likely they’re just trying it on. Show them the signed contract and they surely can’t argue with it. Don’t pay them over the agreed price, threaten to get the police and trading standards involved if they’re being twats and then carry out the threat if they won’t listen. Good luck with it!

lol crow bar would do too much damage, but it would be good for lifting the paving if they have done a shit job. I’m always in the market for used paving. at the right price of course.

think sticking to your guns, threatening to get police or trading standards involved, pointing out you have all their details an having a great big hairy biker older brother there too should cover it (air gun optional last resort)

Try and get as much detail as you can, like van reg numbers and maybe a sneaky photo of them, in case you do have to get OB involved. Also where abouts are you. We have a brilliant consumer radio show in Beds/Herts/Bucks, and they sort most problems out, and he loves getting his teth into dodgy pikeys.
