Playground Politics,
If you are using lights like out-door xmas lights you could use cable ties to hold them to the tree they wouldn’t damage it at all. I wouldn’t worry about using screws though as i have screwed and nailed so many things to trees in the past without it dying or causing much damage.
I wouldnt know about the wattage you would be wanting to use, i think you might have to experiment a little with that to find what works, i can imagine you wouldnt want a high wattage as it would be bright and not a relaxing glow…..

September 11, 2007 at 12:04 pm #1119572re: nailing stuff to trees, you shouldn’t do any damage on a mature tree.
you might want to plug the hole you leave when you remove the nail or whatever though, to prevent any disease or infection getting in the wound.
definitely don’t use copper nails!

September 11, 2007 at 8:30 pm #1119571If the gels are proper ones for stage you should be able to use them in the garden…The power you want is as low as possible to do the job and preferably energy savers if you can.
LED light strings are nice too and very twinkly :weee:
