It’s as secure as reading your credit card number out over the phone.
Other shops to try:

June 15, 2007 at 1:23 pm #1113483Yeah, I think he’s been purely online sales for about 5 years now. Agreed, it used to be a quality shop when it was open. (internet store is fairly high calibre for DnB too)

Dance Music Finder is another one based in Birmz but someone on the net said they took his money and started getting threatening over the phone when he complained (he was a bit aggro to me face to face and even offered to sell me a partly MELTED vinyl record once!)

June 15, 2007 at 10:31 pm #1113488Beware of HTFR, head many bad stories about them. Overcharging, crap service etc.
Personally I use BangingTune.com and Kinetec.com, never had any problems with either. 🙂

June 16, 2007 at 7:21 pm #1113495HTFR have always been amazing for me so far [many years now] including helping me track down a tune which I knew neither the name or artist for  and they found it too raaa May not always be the cheapest but for some stuff they rock and I have always had great customer service out of them even when I was wrong
Like Insurrekt too and have also been known to buy vinyl from some weird and wonderful places just cos it was there……

Yeah they got me a record that they had to import from the U.S., l couldn’t find it anywhere else, l can’t remember how much they charged but it was pretty close to the price for a new record at the time, and l couldn’t find the record anywhere else, so it was a fair deal … affter all, they’re “HTFR” not “Bargain Records”, but the other guy’s warning has been noted, maybe i was just lucky. I gotta admit, their prices on other equipment (they do the whole lot, lights, record boxes, turntables) seem ok, and are a good way of checking the standard pricing for such things, and maybe they give bargain prices on those electronics, l’m not sure as l still haven’t done enough research.

June 16, 2007 at 7:57 pm #1113481AnonymousYeah HTFR seemed ok, and i messed them around once, l wanted this tune, l heard it on Neighbours once, in the early 90s, remember that character Josh with the black hair and curtain-style haircut? He was playing this tune on his hi-fi, it was a techno-house track , and the vocal hook was “Jump … for joy”.
I researched “jump for joy” and came up with KC Flight – “Jump For Joy” (1990) , so i requested it off HTFR. When it arrived, l gave it a listen, and it wasn’t the right track so l said l’ll leave it if that’s ok, and they couldn’t care less lol
By the way, does anyone know the name of the tune l’m on about? I’m guessing it was big in Australia at the time and probably elsewhere.
