June 13, 2007 at 10:44 am #1113122id rather stick pins in my eyes! police and security so on top its ridiculous. my mate went a year ago and there was a line of sniffer dogs that were being walked up and down the line as you were going in.. also you have to be off of the main site and onto the camping site by a certain time and then get researched next day when you reenter the main site. plus judge jules and pete tong are lame to put it mildly i know theres loads of other stuff, but give me glade any day of the week!

June 13, 2007 at 10:58 am #1113123also you have to be off the whole site 8pm sunday i think which is not only pretty shitty considering the price, but also pretty dangerous considering it doesnt give the drivers any chance to sleep off what ever they’ve been up to.! and the fest only starts of fri instead of thu like GLADE! rubbish rubbish rubbish…

June 13, 2007 at 11:21 am #1113131I went on the saturday last year and i had a great time, yea there were sniffer dogs but i think they had a cold because i walked in with 10 e’s and a few g of chaz. spent all night in the d nb tent and on the rides. I do agree its over priced though.

Cops (and festival security) also have a “shit list” of people like dealers, thugs, sex pests, tent and bag thieves etc who are watched first before anyone else.
when I lived in Reading festival time made “interesting listening” on the scanner radios – both cops frequencies (they didn’t have digital sets until 2004) and the festival security.
Some proper darkside stuff happens at these larger commercial festies although its usually quickly dealt with by security and cops (a few of my old friends worked as festival security), IMO free parties are way safer and friendlier…

I agree but i’ll still go to both mainly because most of my mates do. plus i’ve never had a bad experience yet.
