Nice one Col. I already do the show here so it might be tricky to do a show on Buzz but It’d be good to send in some material to have played.
Best of luck with it. Internet radio is quality. Big Ups to level-1 and the soon to be born Buzz.

I appreciate you have a fair bit on here with PV radio and it’s not my intention to be in competition with you guys, I’m merely looking at approaching things from a slightly different perspective.
I’d be happy to let any of your pre recorded stuff be broadcast and if you find yourself free to do a set at any time then you are most welcome to have a spin or showcase your tunes.
We are looking quite good for DJ’s so far, think about 25-30 so far have offered to help, but I’m really hoping to get a few people on board willing to present and do interviews, discussions etc.
I think we will also be tying the radio in with the midlands free party scene and a site associated with that as well as working with N23 and giving them the use of the radio server from time to time.
I want this project to be as diverse and interesting as possible and that requires the input of diverse and interesting people so if any of you have something you’d like to contribute, feel free to get in touch and put an idea forward.
Thanks
Col

I certainly didn’t mean it that way anyway. There are many internet radio stations and there is a huge listener base to tap in to.
Interviews and discussions sounds like something different and interesting (with regards to underground internet radio). I’m looking forward to the birth of Buzz.

I know you were not implying that was the case, I just didn’t want you guys to think I was being a bit cheeky posting links to get involved with buzz when you guys have a radio project on the go yourselves, I’m not trying to compete in any way with whats already out there as they do the job sufficiently well (pv included).
I just fancy having a bit more control over the overall output and trying out some new things

June 13, 2007 at 2:40 pm #1113104Col, make sure you let DJ Pete know about your station URLs (his website is http://www.hardcorelives.co.uk ) so your details can go on the HCL tuner program (which is an excellent free radio tuner/recording software)

June 13, 2007 at 6:23 pm #1113107I’ll do that matey, I’m wondering whether you might be interested in participating in any of the live discussion’s or debates, I think you’d do a good job of representing the raving community myself.
I’m currently contacting various authorities, farmers union etc to find willing candidates to represent the point of view of the opposition so to speak.
I’ve got a shortlist of about 7 or 8 people to represent our point of view and your probably about head to head with grumble as prime candidate for putting out a bit of sense on the many issues that affect both ravers and those whose lives are affected by them.
Have a think on it anyway bud and if your up for it or for interviewing others about issues affecting the scene, let me know.
I’m thinking about dedicating a few hours per week to a rantin and ravin broadcast, where ravers can pretty much come on and have a good rant about whatever, so if anyone is up for a bit of that, let me know, the funnier the better obviously but any random nutter will be fine.

You could setup this server to relay from the primary. You would get ‘clustered’ on shoutcast.com and also appear listed on http://www.internet-radio.org.uk/stations/ under any genres you specify.

I was thinking about doing that but I thought there might be problems with the sc_trans as I read somewhere that it does not work when relaying.
can I relay from my own server onto my internet-radio account ?
