I dont always get them so i find smiling and nodding works :satisfied
June 6, 2007 at 2:52 pm #1106386language evolves constantly and some of its evolution can be cyclic in nature 😉

June 6, 2007 at 2:57 pm #1106387We all have to start somewhere :groucho:
Have you never done things that you later realised werent too bright? I know I have many, many times  but mostly people were kind and forgave my ignorance and helped me to get more savvy 😉
June 6, 2007 at 3:04 pm #1106424I know they can be a pain in the arse sometimes but isn’t it better that they use sites like this?
Older or people who understand better can point out their misconceptions on drugs/partying… I am sure the information that they get from school is not always helpful regarding drugs and i cant imagine their mates offering advice that is any good 😉
June 6, 2007 at 3:11 pm #1106388I am happy to have them here
June 6, 2007 at 3:15 pm #1106394I think it have been like that always..
But so what..
Think they have just as much right to be here as the rest of us..
And as Starlaugh and Raj say..Rather here that somewhere else..
And we have all messed up and said and done stupid things..
Nobody’s perfect
June 6, 2007 at 3:20 pm #1106425Also these younger ones who are using sites like this are the up and coming generation who will be on the partyscene
June 6, 2007 at 3:25 pm #1106357starlaugh wrote:Also these younger ones who are using sites like this are the up and coming generation who will be on the partysceneexactly….
as much as us older people may support the concept of partying, there are other responsibilities in our lives like jobs, mortgages etc
There’s no way I would take the risk to buy a rig and put on events now – so if this scene is to continue younger people have to take over, but older people need to support them with advice and guidance when needed.
Plus a lot of the reason things are so harsh and everyone has become “paranoid” on the rave scene is due to a backlash caused because our generation overdid drugs / were blatant about them, got into crime and didn’t always do parties responsibly.
That is why the Police have clamped down on them, you can’t pass the blame on to youths who were in middle or junior school at the time the original damage was done!
June 6, 2007 at 3:55 pm #1106456so that is why you should help us along our journey and point out the mistakes we make so we wont make them again and also the mistakes you have made as im sure there are many that you made as a youngster
help the new generation. not just moan about it
😉

June 6, 2007 at 4:07 pm #1106405we’ll just fuck off then, shall we?
ironically, shunnin young people out is more likely to destroy the “scene” than us teenagers. what happens when more older ravers stop goin out to parties, stop putting on parties? who’s gonna help the scene survive?
probably the teenagers who talk like chavs. what exactly is talkin like a chav anyway?

Don’t get the hump babe, we love you really 😉
Just occaisonally utilise the correct Queen’s english in order to facilitate old bastards like me in comprehension of what it is you are attempting to communicate :lol_fast: , unlike another seemingly old bastard starlaugh I dont want to just smile an nod! :crazy_diz (I’m sorry SL but to me you are one of the young ones!)
An its nice to know you lot still see us old ‘uns as useful in some ways
June 6, 2007 at 4:23 pm #1106358TBH teenagers today come across as more responsible these days – they are mostly going to college, actually getting jobs and/or regulating their drug use a bit better than what it was like even 5 or 10 years ago..
life is way harsher for young people now than it was in the 1980s or 1990s, so why not let people have their fun?

we will be able to ride them at speed through the forest during raves like people do with quad bikes :laugh_at:, and if the rangers complain we can blame this on software bugs
