May 17, 2007 at 9:23 am #1104900I am 35 and have somehow survived raving since 1991
Although there are times I wish I didn’t have a conscience and could lie about it a bit more – as no one who meets me in real life initially believes I am that old. I could have told all of East Anglia I was 23 when I moved here and petty much got away with it :laugh_at:
When I used to party in SE England people would sometimes get me and Chino mixed up. (Does he still go partying?)
Understandable to an extent (particularly in dark warehouses) as I think we both have East/SE Asian ancestry but he was way younger than me! (I am a bit slimmer though :laugh_at:)

Joking aside, times have changed a lot – many girls these days are more clued up and cynical thanks to the internet – they trust people less and they realise that blokes can look younger than they are, (perhaps not a bad thing for their safety)
one thing I don’t like about “back in the day” is how many girls got used and abused and even left holding the baby after short term and rather ill-advised flings.
A lot those babies who didn’t end their lives at Marie stopes or other similar places are now todays feral kids/youths growing up on sink estates.
Many are actually growing up and appear to be also responsible for the popularity of UK Garage as well as gangland shootings/stabbings, so karma did get us back in the end..
Also I’m quite proud of my age TBH and the fact I have pretty much held it together with other aspects of life..
May 17, 2007 at 10:49 am #1104936Its quite funny that this tread has appeared as i was thinking about this last night, well actually i was how old our oldest active member and how old our youngest active member was……….
May 17, 2007 at 11:02 am #1104902I think there’s at least two generations of ravers on this site now.. which serves as a statement to governments worldwide that this culture simply isn’t going to go away..
May 17, 2007 at 2:17 pm #1104967I’m 35 and getting better every year! :horay:
Am still amazed I survived, seriously, and subsequently am genuinely grateful for everything I have now (health, marbles etc). There were times when someone must’ve been looking after me, thankyou x
I think that’s why I’m so appreciative of life and generally so happy, as far as I’m concerned getting older, with all the experience I have acrued, is the best thing that ever happened to me. :bounce_fl
Life can be truly terrible so its best to enjoy the good stuff while you can and not worry about the insignificant crap, makes for a happy (if hippy) Tarifa :group_hug 😉
May 17, 2007 at 3:15 pm #1104928My body is 43 years of age but my head is approx. 18 years of age.:groucho:
