started saturday off at the Brains Kan night at Studio 3 (thanks to m45ki and J*isadaisy for sorting me a lift) bumped into Binge there handing out flyers for the Luna-C / Biotech revival party in April, Kieron from Flabbergast (which moves to studio 3 soon) and Fran from underground junkies…
met the legendary Boshman as well…….
after that some of us ended up at that barn party somewhere in Naarfolk – fair play to the crew that put it on; the barn was packed with loads of friendly people; has to be one of the best outdoor raves i’ve been to in a while…
I even saw the sights of Lowestoft on a Sunday the way back (although it looked like Suffolk Constabulary and the Council were trying to hold back the North Sea with traffic cones)
i’ve only got back an hour ago from a friends house – managed to celebrate my birthday in style (and 95% of the people I met refused to believe how old I actually am :laugh_at:)
I am totally broken now though, need sleep – thanks to everyone I met this weekend and those who made it happen….
March 26, 2007 at 7:36 am #1101832Im glad you had a great time..:bounce_fl:bounce_fl
Think I can say the same as you..
Well different place, different people and different party..
But I feel the same way..Think I have had one of the best weekends i can remember having in a very long time..
People just took me in to their group and made me feel at home right away..Like I had known them forever :group_hug
March 26, 2007 at 9:41 am #1101835Sounds like you had a wkd time!! 🙂

Saw a girl who looked like Irie as well but wasn’t sure as she looked far younger than the Irie on the photos that have been on SJ….
The barn was a wicked venue although parking was sketchy (our car ended up parked a whole mile away to avoid being blocked in…)
Even did a bit of stacking, both at Kan and at the barn party… in Norfolk its not actually as agressive as in SE England, although you do have to watch out for the flying dreadlocks…
And on sunday I was sat on the lawn outside a friends house, when this random lad suddenly ran through the alleyway, riding an imaginary horse, shouting “gee up” and making neigh/whinny noises :laugh_at::laugh_at:
PS : where are the rest of the East Anglian crew today? Anyone else fro here go? is everyone still so broken that they are still asleep, or bunked off college or work and thus can’t get on line? :laugh_at:
March 26, 2007 at 12:42 pm #1101831glad you had a gooden mate.
heard there was a party on the n/norfolk coast aswell.
glad you expereienced the ”gental moshing” too.
March 26, 2007 at 12:53 pm #1101825yeah, I heard rumours there would be a party in the coastal area, although not sure if this actually happened (would have been way too cold and windy surely?)
Looking forward to the summer beach parties though 🙂

whats all this about someone falling from the hay bails? sounds pretty bad.
March 26, 2007 at 1:57 pm #1101826Quote:whats all this about someone falling from the hay bails? sounds pretty bad.yes, and he was unlucky enough to land on the concrete bit rather than the hay.
He ended up having to be initially patched up by coppers (I expect they were the traffic cops who arrived some time on Sunday morning, they are at least trained in basic First Aid) as East of England Ambulance were unable to get easy access to the barn due to the bad parking.
I would expect he eventually ended up in the James Paget but someone from SJ who knew him said that he is OK after treatment.its a shame this happened as it was otherwise such a good party (I hope someone when clearing up got a net and dredged the irrigation ditch as there were bare bottles/cans and balloons in it by Sunday :yakk:)
March 26, 2007 at 2:31 pm #1101837Been quite a few good ones in Norfolk this year. I think i might head up to the next one, just for a bit of a change.
Shit well hopefully the guys all ok and stuff.
March 28, 2007 at 6:31 pm #1101829Shit! I forgot it was your bday! I’d have bought u a drink! Good to see you in Studio3, I didn’t stay long as I’d been in London fri, but it was a good one as always.
Did manage to make the party early afternoon, but it shut down after an hour. Managed to give out loads of flyers though! Its ok as apparently it was mostly techno/ trance, which is not really my thing.
Hope to see you @ STOMP dude.

xxx:group_hugI’ve not been partying in East Anglia for long (only been here a year) although I’ve been partying for years in London and SE England
that weekend was actually like a weekend when I had first started going to free parties, I actually felt like I was young again :laugh_at:
One of my mates said I was pilled up in studio 3 but I’d only been drinking, but I genuinely felt safe and happy in a way I hadn’t felt for along time and probably looked naturally high
if they’re all like that (or even better) then summer if definitely gonna be good..
March 29, 2007 at 3:06 pm #1101828m45k1 wrote:Studio3 is getting too rinsed, glad that people are making the effort anyway though!Agreed – although IMO the only reason S3 is getting rinsed is because the poxy Councils and locals refuse to license any more venues, hassle the management about not allowing “rave-type discos” (as the cops call them) and you can’t even do hall parties here…
We need to show the cops, Councils and moaning Middle England we are not going to simply go away because they don’t like our music…
and FFS its not like there’s a shortage of space round here…..
March 29, 2007 at 6:30 pm #1101830Yeah Studio3 is starting to do my nut, and I’m in there more than most. The 14th will be my last STOMP there for the summer.
Its gonna get demolished at some point anyway! We’ll find another place……….
