Hello people
I am trying to help another member find a tune which is very important to him but we are having trouble working out exactly what it was called or who made it……
So far what we have is the following:
released by 1992 on vinyl
has a vocal sample ‘can you feel _____’ in it
has a subamarine bleep in it
has a train ‘wooo wooo’ sound in itIt may have reaper either in the vocal samples, the name or the artist
I know thats not a huge amount to go on but we would welcome all suggestions that may match the above description even if they are incorrect – will help us narrow the search down
Thanks for your help :weee:
February 13, 2007 at 11:23 pm #1099686Can’t remember it having any of the above noises or vocals in but:
“808 State – Reaper Repo” was released around 1992
February 13, 2007 at 11:26 pm #1099687What sort of tune is it? Early hardcore type stuff, housey, trippy etc?
February 13, 2007 at 11:30 pm #1099699genres are not my strong suit :noway: I will ask him
Thanks Bio

February 15, 2007 at 12:51 pm #1099702Any ideas at all folks?
February 15, 2007 at 1:51 pm #1099688All I can think of is “Elevation – Can you feel it”
It’s from 1992, is breakbeat hardcore and has female vocals saying “can you fell it, can you feel it, can you feel it deep in your soul”
But it doesn’t have a submarine or a train in it!
February 16, 2007 at 10:58 am #1099692Could be this (asked on B2VOS)

February 16, 2007 at 7:18 pm #1099693Can you FEEL the reaper?
or

That would make more sense to me anyway!

February 16, 2007 at 7:32 pm #1099694Are we talking happy? Cause with a title like that it should really be a darkside kinda tune.
If you know where you heard it, that would help (i.e. who played it.)
In fact, for anything old skool, best to ask here:

February 17, 2007 at 11:41 am #1099698there is a Blue Oyster Cultm track called “fear the reaper” released in ’78, wonder if the sample is from that ?
February 17, 2007 at 11:48 am #1099707If it is the a sample of the reaper its not the original one – BOC had a male vocalist [unless his voice has had something weird done to it] but there were covers of the track galore…
[not so closet BOC lover – have most of their original albums :groucho:]
thinking about it – why dont you/we go ahead and put up anything you think might be relevant as we should include everything until we find this track…
