      Hi everybody,

      I create this thread,cuz being a poor froggy,some of english words and terms are unknown to me,and I’m f*****g curious.

      It seems we share the same “outdoor sport” passion and the same problems with the law.

      So my first question will be:What does te C.J.A letters mean.I understand it’s the anti-rave law but what’s behind the letters?

      raaa thanks raaa

        CJA = criminal justice act

        a long and involved document which bans all sorts of stuff inculding:

        more than 2 people on motorbikes riding next to each other [it is then a rally even if there are only 3 bikes!!!]
        more than 3 people in a field listening to repetetive music [thats a rave:groucho:]
        more than 3 people in a room talking ‘anti goverment’ [you can be arrested for this:you_crazy]
        any one have any more examples?

              The Mariani law used against unlicensed raves in France is a virtually identical translation of the sections of the British CJA which relate to raves.

              Other sections of the 1994 British law made it it easier to evict squatters and travellers; and made certain kinds of protest a crimnal offence.

                    Free parties came from UK to France(sp23 were the first aliens I met).No doubt that laws had to follow the same way…

                          IMO = “in my opinion” (la meme chose que AMA (” a mon avis”) en francais!)

                                je pense qui

                                [ok well thats how i would use the french anyway :groucho:]
