After tonights episode I think it’s time for me to take a break from this forum. I am now at a stage in life where any negative vibes could have an adverse effect on my life. I’d like to take this oppurtunity to thank NEARLY everybody for your love and support. Subutex and other opiate detox’s is my specialist subject but TWO people on here tonight beg to differ. I have never interjected on a subject that I am not well versed on but WICKEDWRECKAGE and GENERAL LIGHTING seem to get a cheap thrill on doing so. I really can do without these negative interactions ATM so I’ll go to another forum where I can put my skills to good use. BTW cliffchuff you obviously know what you’re talking about and it was YOU that I was defending tonight, so my RESPECT goes out to you. I’d especially like to thank Angel, raj, dr bunsen, acidfairy, GoodDog, Somna, Tank Girl, April and Bio Tech for your love and support. If I’ve left anyone out then please forgive me. August 18, 2006 at 12:03 am #1086710before you go it might be worth reading what I was actually commenting on – it wasn’t about the use of detox drugs as I have no need for these myself ; but that wickedwreckage is actually also an opiate user going through the same problems you are and it was a shame you were both arguing about methods of trying to get off heroin! (consider also that English is not his first language…)
thats not the same as not wanting you in person to make your life better…. or not supporting you in doing so.
If you want to become a drugs counsellor (which I gather you wanted to do) or anything in life you are going to have to constantly put up with some of your ideas being challenged or at least discussed; but it doesn’t mean people are always getting at you personally.
Obviously if you don’t feel comfortable here I am sorry about that; but I hope whatever you do decide to do in the future goes well and you can be free of the addictions that have held you back…..

i can’t really speak for GL, but knowing his style of involvement on this forum, I would say he would never deliberatelytry to undermine your efforts
in fact, wasn’t he the first person to offer you praise when you admitted you had been making it up about being of SE Asian decent, saying aligning yourself with India was a bold move in such a fucked up world?
as for wickedwreckage,i think he just struggles to cope with english and a bunch of other stuff
as for myself, i’ve been too busy to reply to many threads recently, but i know i’ll miss your lively input 😉

August 18, 2006 at 12:18 am #1086765Okay please delete General Lighting from that passage. G.L. you mean well but you just don’t seem to grasp that there was NO argument there. WW was just stirring up trouble. His SUPPOSED argument was that ‘I endorsed the mixing of methadone and subutex together’. If you can direct me to ONE post where this is true then I’ll hang my head in shame for the rest of my life. I have attented a plethora of course’s on this and other ‘harm reduction course’s’ and I really thought that my input would be of use to EVERYONE, but that is obviously not the case. My ambition is to become a full time counsellor one day but going by tonight I might as well kiss that goodbye. If you don’t believe me that WW is a trouble causer then please ask angel? Maybe I’ll change my mind and take a ‘creative English’ course instead one day. On that ironic note I’ll say goodbye or au revoir to my ‘friend’. All I can say to you WW is that you’ve succeeded in what you set out to do.

Since u came here u have been able to pass on vital informationa bout heroin usage to ppl that none of us have been able to do.. you’ve been able to make young ones realise that it isn’t just another drug that there are serious consequences to takin it
I’d ask you please to reconsider your decision, i for one will miss you from the bottom of my heart.. the choice is urs but u know that there are loads on here that support your every move an word..

This is a topic that causes strong emotions and understandably so. People have different experiences and different things work for different people. Sharing information and experiences is very useful. Knowledge is power. Don’t let negativity get to you, I don’t think WW really meant it, just got heated up. I’ll be gutted to see you go but that’s your choice.
I wont beg you to stay. Although if you are the strong person I think you are, and which you have proven yourself to be through other actions, then your’e not going to give up on something that you know is a good thing when you get a little hiccup.
I’ll see you on here tomorrow.
PS. I don’t want to sound like I’m blowing the partyvibe horn too much but I’m not sure there is another forum you could go to where you will reach such a wide audience who will benefit from your shared experiences, help and much appreciated advice.
