I used to love this club untill that cook report guy got it closed down.
The Sasha and Digweed nights were the business.
It really was a cool friendly place where you could meet peeps from all over the country back in the days before the term ‘super club’ was coined and the club scene went mainstream and uber commercial.
There was usually a party afterwards or a trip down to face-to-face..!
Those were the days(and nights) my friend I thought they would never end, untill it got on tv and got closed down…Verbeer used to hold it down like a fat kid on a see-saw….

i used to be there regularly for the Revalation (‘ardcore) nights and later on for the fluffy parties (sasha and all that)
Roger Cook’s show got the Revalation nights stopped, but the Sasha, Digweed, Nick Warren nights etc carried on for a long time after that (unitl about ’94 i think)
if you’re at a loose end this evening, you could do worse than this >>>

it was one of a few excellent, small, out-in-the-sticks venues that hosted some cracking nights about 12 or 14 years ago

perfect Sunday evening chill out and beer in ExeterAhh shit I was in exeter last night and would have checked that out.
I went to see pirates2(6/10) and chipped off home as soon as it was finished after seeing a big fight in the high street, loads of blood everywhere, quaint little exeter huh…..August 21, 2010 at 8:59 am #1084427AnonymousCan anyone throw any light or give any latest info on Verbeer Manor?
I would like to take it over and restore it to it’s former position as a prominent entertainment venue.
What could be the pitfalls? Are there any neighbours that could possibly object to entertainment evenings?
I’m thinking along the lines of Howl at the Moon in the States or Crazy Pianos in Holland. (see youtube)
Good music and good food.
Any comments appreciated

looks like you might have your work cut out getting back to a nightclub
November 4, 2021 at 2:20 am #1474512I worked at Verbeer during the 90’s raves scene.
I was one of the Revelations crew. Youre correct. The TV report did shut it for a while. I remember reopening fairly soon after and continuing for what seemed like a couple of years. We always hired in outside rigs. Walls of turbo sound stacked to to the ceiling. I remember Eat Static. Producer. Mach 1. Shane and Jamie, the ufo crew..OMG! I just came across this. To all you crazy guys that were there back then. Fuck yeah..we did it didn’t ee -
