then here is a link to a good and free alternative which i have used for while
coz the other 2 programs break my head:crazy_fre:crazy_fre:crazy_fre
NB if you decide to use this you will have to paste the new radio link into it as follows:
1- open VLC studio
2- select the File drop down menu
3- select open network stream (Ctrl +N)
4- open the file tab in the Open window
5- paste the link in the box
6- hit return
and off you go:horay::horay::horay::horay:May 25, 2006 at 10:04 pm #1074943I don’t like WMP but winamp does me nicely, especially with my decepticons skin. I’ll check that out though.
May 25, 2006 at 10:07 pm #1074946i like it because it has a small footprint and works first time every time when i connect to the radio stream
[the other two never did for me or used to crash midstream:rant::rant::rant:]
May 26, 2006 at 3:53 am #1074950Have WMP…Never had any problems..
May 26, 2006 at 6:17 am #1074940I’m not a fan of WMP even if it has it’s uses. Winamp lost the plot for a bit with version 3 but it’s much better now again and does the job for me nicely…
May 26, 2006 at 6:18 am #1074941Anyway aren’t you being a bit negative here Ange? Why not call this thread, what’s your favorite media player? 🙂

May 26, 2006 at 9:28 am #1074945I dont like Winamp and particularily hate the bloated WMP.
VLC all the way :
VLC (initially VideoLAN Client) is a highly portable multimedia player for various audio and video formats (MPEG-1, MPEG-2, MPEG-4, DivX, mp3, ogg, …) as well as DVDs, VCDs, and various streaming protocols. It can also be used as a server to stream in unicast or multicast in IPv4 or IPv6 on a high-bandwidth network.

May 26, 2006 at 2:56 pm #1074944VLC plays all my cracked files no problem:bigsmile:
i like the visual add ons that are available with winamp though
May 26, 2006 at 5:43 pm #1074953Ive used VLC for ages, it does play a bit slowly if your using files with a very very high compression ratio though, and you can download codecs that dont come as standard if you wanna play any really obscure files. i think they could do a little more with the interface tho!
May 28, 2006 at 1:05 am #1074942I dont like Winamp,or WMP for that matter….VLC is excellent,i also like Media Player Classic, which is nothing to do with WMP at all
I tend to use Quintessential Player for musicJune 11, 2006 at 7:49 pm #1074948this bump is for you raverbaby :crazy_fre

August 14, 2006 at 6:42 pm #1074959Some people (like myself) are quite old fashioned when the subject of music crops up. I am also like other people I know, quite phobic when the subject of IT is banded about. So personally I find one of the best ways of finding answers to (what might sound like VERY simple questions to many people on here) this topic, is to do exactly what ‘twatey’ did, which was to post the question on here. And you’ve also got to remember that IT is taught as a mainstream topic at school now, which wasn’t the case several years back. So please remember what may seem a ‘silly question’ to some peeps, is a serious question to others. Patronization comes to mind in this situation.
Agent Subby just wanted to get that off his back(metaphorically speaking). -
