This is what happens when you’re at the BBC for an interview about the recent Apple court case, and you nip out for a piss.
And they interview your cab driver by mistake.
The cabbie’s face at the beginning of the clip, as the awful penny drops, is actually teh priceless!

Heard some really amusing stories on Xfm this morning about mistaken identities. One girl was saying she ran towards who she thought was her mum with arms wide open shouting “mum! mum!”, then when the lady turned round and she realised it was a complete stranger she carried on running straight past her pretending to be an aeroplane. That tickled me somewhat. Oh and also the boy who was on holiday in Egypt and 2 crazy shopkeepers kept telling him he looked the spitting image of Robert Mugabi – the only problem being the boy was 17 years old and white.
May 15, 2006 at 10:31 am #1073501I saw this on the news the other morning, was proper funny. I dunno how much that clip shows and i cant listen at work, but he had a proper good go at answering the questions

The real Guy Kewney.
May 15, 2006 at 12:37 pm #1073497Saw this on an Outtakes thing on BBC3 last night Funny As Fuck, the bloke gave the questions his full attention mind you.
BBC are attempting to find out who he really is as they have no idea! :horay:
And you say its a Cab driver? hahahahaha 😀
May 16, 2006 at 7:47 am #1073498turns out he wasn’t a cab driver but a graduate being interviewed for an IT job at the BBC; and thought this was all part of the interview!
He was also called Guy which added to the confusion … I think they should give him the job for being able to handle that; or kick out the numpty who got the two Guy’s confused and give the African chap that job instead!
Guy Kewney is a fairly regular contributor to the BBC’s science programmes (particularly on the World service). Although he’s a bit balder these days it is extremely unlikely he would have miraculously changed skin colour..
