ok so i woke up late and dashed to the work only to find that my PC is down. I have a mountain (actually 2 foot high) of paperwork to do but the database i need to use is stored on the fucked PC. I could do some filing but that just isn’t possible when i’ve got pizza in my hand.
on top of that the boss is too skint to pay me now coz he needs to put the van in for repairs (NOT my fault!) while he’s away doing a gig in Shetland.
i guess i’m quite stressed but at least i have pizza, better than a boot in the baws.
just had to vent that. ok, go about your business.

At least I’m not the only one with business stress. Let us eat pizza together my brother!
April 26, 2006 at 3:32 pm #1071971I’m just about to re-input a months worth of financial data that was trashed by database errors (which still leaves a backlog of another months worth of data, but thankfully the timescales for dealing with this are reasonable)

April 26, 2006 at 4:05 pm #1071980there’s years worth of receipts to log in and file. boss got a £9,000 tax bill, there’s phone bills, rent and other stuff to be paid and he’s not making enough money. i am basically working here on a voluntary basis at the moment. the place is a total mess. i just feel like giving up completely, it’s a pain in the ass.
ever get one of those downer days? could just be mid week blues from the weekend of abuse, i dunno, might just go and play in the sun. :rant:

i have a big project to get finished for fri lunch time and i am looking after a full bore toddler whose opening gambit of the day was to spill [accidentally] a whole box of rice krispies on the floor way before i had woken up and then scream the place down causing me to levitate from bed and hit the ground at full speed.

grumble
and since the krispies there has been freestyle floorwashing many, many times along with random dry spills…..

i moved the database to another PC and managed to log everything i intended to log, got finished about half an hour ago.
going to pick up a couple of radio mics that are out on hire, that means i catch the tail end of Coldcut, yay! turned out not too bad in the end. Kev left a coupla bottles of Beck’s and i found some tobacco, now all i do is wait….

April 27, 2006 at 6:48 pm #1071985they were great mics man, top of the range, none of yer shite for coldcut like! missed the gig completely though so then we went to a live folk music night then the buff club (cheesy indie student nonsence) then stayed up all night doing a myspace set at the boss’ gaff, still not slept and now am off tae hear Cool Keith scratch and cut, yas, i’ll sleep the night
