Mine has to be the drum and bass tune, ‘Champion Sound’ by Q-Project, it’s a nice dark tune, but there are plenty of other tunes I love, what about everyone else?

February 15, 2005 at 12:18 pm #1064082you gotta love the hardcore…so “sick of my life” by evil activities or dj sim “cartoons in progress”.
February 15, 2005 at 12:24 pm #1064076“Narra Mine” by Genaside II
February 15, 2005 at 12:42 pm #1064095and what about your fave places to boogie? I like either huge places like bagleys or what was the sanctuary at milton keynes with loadsa room to explore and outside spaces. I also like tiny clubs like afterdark in Reading as they’re really intimate and you get to know the regular crowd. The biggest disappointment was fabric-too trendy, too crowded and the dj’s and mc’s were all hidden away! ๐

tuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuune!
that is such a stupidly hard question, its not even funny.
mine might be “the chopper” by ray keith, but i’m sure i’ll be back to contradict myself ๐
as for ideal raving spots…i hear what you’re sayin about bagleys, they may be a bit huge and dark, but its also annonymous, so you can rock it however you want. my favorite club has to be THE END in holborne. if you like dnb, and haven’t been….what is wrong with you? its the mutts.
best place of all to rave so far has been the south downs over looking the sea…come april, i’ll be gettin paul to document the events, so i gues i’ll see you there!
elretardo knows the score ๐
February 15, 2005 at 4:28 pm #1064096the chopper is a pretty wicked tune, really good fun. Yeah I’ve been to the end but didn’t have a great experience, took some shrooms without knowing I had caught a stomach bug, let me tell you shrooms and stomach bug= being very fucked and throwing up loads!!
The tune which brings back good memories is andy c’s body rock as that was on the first dnb album I bought and reminds me of first getting into the scene. They also played it as the last song when I went to Reading festival

February 15, 2005 at 9:23 pm #1064061Tough one.
I don’t think you can pick just one. Plus my mind changes over the years.
But a couple that have always stuck with me are:
Hyper on Experience – Lord of the Null Lines (original… not the later remix which is better known)
Egyptian Empire – The Horn TrackFebruary 17, 2005 at 10:14 pm #1064073Agreed! Far too many to mention; and as I’m getting into more and more styles as I go on, so get more favourite tunes.
Fav tune ever has to be:
Junglist- Pete Bouncer (NOT the remix!)
As this is the era I started raving, and it was purely jungle/ old skool dnb for the first few years! Even if I haven’t heard it for months, I still find myself singing it in the shower!
Also, staying with the classics:
In complete darkness- Fat Controller
Exodus remix- Rebel MC
Take me awayGot to love the hardcore!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If we are talking techno then a couple of my favourites have always been:
Route 5 – Kektex – Lock
Route 31 – Immersion – PlastikPlastik gets played in pretty much every one of my sets actually. Bit boring i suppose but i just can’t resist. It’s kind of my trademark tune.
