Yes Bass not Bombs returns for another fund and awarness raising
mashup. This time rather than just being a benefit nite for stop the
war coalition organisations also included are Colombia Solidarity
Campaign (opposing the militarised globalisation terrroizing
colombia's people under the mask of a war on drugs) and Bristol
Dissent Group (part of a national network mobilizing creative
resistance for the G8 summit in Scotland next July). The idea being
that we cant view one war in isoaltion as each forms part of a global
offensive in pusuit of economic gains at any cost. Bass not bombs aims
to link some of these struggles, inform people and raise money while
having a fat nite because politics
shouldnt just be about wearing a suit or standing in the cold holding
a soggy placard and losing your voice.

Heres the line up:

Room 1. Dissident soundsytem - DJs & Live sets
D&B, breakcore, harcore, ,jungletek - & general heavy mayhem.

Room 2. Prank soundsystem -
Ragga, basscore, breaks side of things.

Room 3. Escapade meets Bass Logic - DJs, Live sax, vocals & percussion
Dub, reggae, funk, samba, latin, nu-jazzmashup

Upstairs little back room - 'Properganda' Cinema and info area
Political films, infomation, a place where you can actually hear each
other speak
